Nikkhil Advani said that when the movie was released in theatres in 2003, it made a collection of Rs 32 crores. However, if it had been released now, it would earn more than Rs 1000 crore. “If you talk in terms of the inflation today, it would have made more than Rs 1000 crore,” reported several entertainment news portals. Further, the director said how the movie has become iconic today because people still talk about SRK’s character Aman’s death, which is not easy to watch.
