Superstar has been keeping a low profile from the media since 2021. Besides dodging cameras, Shah Rukh Khan has been hiding under umbrellas, and steering clear of posing at both events and parties. His former security head, Yusuf Ibrahim, spoke to Zoom recently and explained why SRK stays away from the paparazzi.

“It’s not about shying away. Voh hoga kuch personal reason. Main toh nahi jaanta because I’m not working for him anymore. So, unka internally kya wajah hai, kyu kar rahe hain, that’s his call. I have no idea,” Yusuf told Zoom.

Yusuf Ibrahim has been associated with Shah Rukh Khan since a long time. He initially launched his security company by taking charge of the star’s safety. Notably, SRK’s current bodyguard, Ravi Singh, too was initially assigned to him by Yusuf when Ravi was in his team.

In October 2021, Aryan Khan was arrested in ‘drugs on cruise’ case. He spent 22 days in police custody, during which Shah Rukh Khan visited him in jail. Aryan was later released and all charges against him were dropped.

Mumbai-based paparazzo Varinder Chawla too had reportedly explained SRK’s current stance with the media. According to Chawla, Shah Rukh had made a conscious attempt to avoid paparazzi because he is annoyed with the media’s coverage of his son Aryan Khan’s arrest.

“After speaking to him, I realised his love for his children, his son Aryan Khan. I too have children, if people went around talking ill and negative things about my children, I too would feel sad. He was so sad and upset back then, we didn’t care about that. We just kept complaining that SRK doesn’t give us photos and always hides his face. He is mad at the media for what they did to his son,” Varinder said, as reported by News18.
