Recently, Maddock announced its horror-comedy slate and speculation were rife that SRK will be a part of one of the movies. Fans have been waiting for an update regarding the same. Well, there is an update but it will make the fans sad who wanted the actor to be a part of the film.

A news report mentions that Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik had approached for their horror-comedy film, Chamunda. Sadly, SRK rejected the movie, which was supposed to feature as well. The production house was really looking forward to casting the superstar in one of their most ambitious movies.

A source informed Bollywood Hungama, “Shah Rukh Khan didn’t want to enter an already established universe and rather start a new world with Maddock and Amar Kaushik. He has asked the duo to come to him with something fresh and explore a genre never done before. The two are now exploring new names for Chamunda and hoping to team up with Shah Rukh Khan in a couple of years on something fresh.”

Well, it looks like we will have to wait longer for SRK, Maddock, and Amar Kaushik to collaborate. Meanwhile, the superstar will soon start shooting for action thriller King. Directed by Siddharth Anand, it will also star Abhishek Bachchan and Suhana Khan. On the other hand, some of the movies from the horror-comedy universe that will release this year are Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s Thama and Kiara Advani’s Shakti Shalini.
