Moderate-budget films typically wrap production within 80 to 100 days. However, Dacoit required nearly 150 days to complete its shoot. During the wrap-up press meet, Adivi Sesh explained why the team needed such an extended schedule.
“Dacoit is a bilingual made simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, which naturally stretched the shoot to around 150 days. Though the story is the same, the treatment is different in both languages. So it felt like shooting two separate films,” he shared.
Sesh further added that while the narrative is packed with thrills and action, the film is deeply emotional at its core. Adivi Sesh said, “While at its heart the film is a love story, it is far from conventional. The narrative is peppered with unexpected twists and turns that keep the audience engaged and on the edge of their seats. The blend of heartfelt romance with thrilling elements creates a unique and intriguing world that is sure to captivate viewers. The climax emotion lands beautifully.”
Directed by Shaneil Deo, Dacoit is slated for a worldwide release on April 10th, as a summer attraction.
