Ahead of the release of his much-anticipated film , which also stars in a key role, the star reacted to the ongoing rumours about arriving late on set and not being serious about his projects. The Sikandar actor dismissed allegations of being tardy and explained that he has multiple commitments to fulfil and juggle. In an exclusive interview to India Today, Salman Khan said, “There are many stories about me coming late and not being serious about my work. I have done more than 100 films, more than anyone else apart from my senior actors. It wouldn’t be possible to achieve this if I were constantly late or leaving early,” he said.
The actor stressed on the fact that he remains fully disciplined, but there is a small glitch. “Some people start working at 6 am, I start around 11:30- 12 because I’ve got a lot of other work to do, like signing a lot of papers, making calls, and working out. Then I have to come back, relax, have my coffee, and understand the scene. She (Rashmika) knows that once I am there on the set, I don’t even go back to the van or even sit. They set up a tent wherever needed, and I stay there,” Salman added.
During the same interaction, the star also cleared up misunderstandings related to his work, and shared his thoughts on misconceptions that often make people believe that he doesn’t invest enough effort. He said that he has friends who often share that he has his own timings which they feel is a compliment. “But then what happens with that is you’re scaring people away from working with me. It gives the impression that I don’t have to put in much effort.” This is a big story in .
Rashmika Mandanna too echoes similar thoughts and stressed on the fact that she too had heard similar stories before she started working with the star. However, she doesn’t listen to all these stories because she feels it didn’t happen to her. “He has been there every day on the set. So when I saw this, I thought what I’m hearing and what I’m seeing are two different things. This is the reality and I don’t understand why there’s so much commotion around,” Rashmika said.
