Even before Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan shared screen space with Aamir Khan. However, the duo was never seen on screen after their movie Andaz Apna Apna. But it looks like both Khans have decided to take the plunge and appear in the sequel—Andaz Apna Apna 2. Ahead of its re-release in April this year, reports state that Salman and Aamir might reprise their characters Prem and Amar. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the comedy film also stars Karisma Kapoor and Ranveena Tandon.
So far, these are just speculations and nothing is finalised. As reported by Zoom, Salman, who is busy with Sikandar, has discussed the sequel appearance with Aamir Khan. About the same, a source told the portal, “While the audience has not seen Salman Khan and Aamir Khan together on screen since Andaz Apna Apna, they might reunite for the sequel. Andaz Apna Apna is set to re-release in April, and this could be a hint that a sequel is in the making. Although nothing has been cleared as of now of the potential sequel.”
Meanwhile, last year, Aamir confirmed that director Rajkumar Santoshi has been working on the script of the Andaz Apna Apna sequel. About the idea of Part 2, the Dangal star shared, “I think it will be a great film for all of us to do and for audiences to watch.” While the speculation has been going on for a long time that a sequel will be made, there has been no update on who will be the new leads.
