Well, today the makers have officially announced the sequel. We are also teased with an interesting first look featuring Salman, who is all set to return as the Devil in the action film.
On Nadiadwala Grandson’s Instagram page, the team shared a black-and-white photo of Salman Khan from the sets of Sikandar. In the caption, they officially confirmed Kick 2 is on the cards. The caption reads, “It was a great Kick 2 photo shoot, Sikandar…”!!! From Grand. Sajid Nadiadwala.”
Kick was released in theatres on July 25, 2014 and it was the biggest blockbuster of 2014. The movie earned over Rs 300 crore at the box office and the worldwide collection was also more than Rs 400 crore. The audience enjoyed watching the superstar in such a cool and powerful avatar. The grey shades his character, the Devil, possesses with a hint of sass and swag, was also widely loved.
Along with Salman, the movie also featured Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Randeep Hooda, and Jacqueline Fernandez. We can’t wait to know more about what the makers have planned for the sequel and when the filming will begin. Coming to Sikandar, it’s another big action thriller film, which the Nadiadwala Grandson production house is backing. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Sathyaraj. The movie is slated to hit theatres during Eid 2025.
