Saif Ali Khan was attacked at home at 2.30 am on Thursday. The actor, along with the other family members were sleeping when this incident took place and the actor has been attacked with a sharp weapon. The police has confirmed that the actor is injured and that he is admitted to Lilavati Hospital for treatment.

BollywoodLife spoke to a source from Saif’s team who confirmed the news. “It is terrifying. We woke up to this shocking incident. Some of us rushed to the hospital immediately to check on him. We will release an official statement soon. We request our friends from media to stay calm and respect the family’s privacy.”

Saif’s team in their statement said, “There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing a surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter We will keep you updated on the situation.”

When we reached out to Lilavati hospital, sources confirmed that the actor is admitted and undergoing surgery. There are several wounds and one of rhe injuries is closer to the spine. They didn’t divulge how serious the injury is or how critical the surgery is going to be.

How he actually got injured, is yet to be ascertained. Their inhouse servant tried to stop and nab the robber and the commotion woke Saif up.
