put forth his true heroism when he showed no inhibitions in protecting his family from an intruder last month. During the wee hours of January 16, a man broke into Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Bandra residence. The man entered the couple’s son room with the intent to rob, but was confronted by Jeh’s nanny and Saif. Khan fought him, but was stabbed six times before the man managed to flee the scene.
After almost a month, Saif Ali Khan has revealed what exactly had happened on the night of the incident. In an exclusive interaction with Delhi Times, the star explained how he fought the intruder, why Taimur took him to the hospital and gave an insight into Kareena Kapoor Khan’s state of mind. In the same interview, the Love Aaj Kal star revealed that as the incident happened in Jeh’s room, his youngest son was witness to some things that happened at that time.
On being asked about his family’s reaction post the attack, the star told Delhi Times, “The kids are okay, thank God. Jeh has given me a plastic sword and said, ‘Keep this by your bed for the next time the chor comes.’. He says, ‘Geeta saved Abba and Abba saved me.’ Taimur is a little concerned about security.”
In the same interview, Saif Ali Khan revealed that his children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, are quite emotional. “Sara was very emotional and Ibrahim was also very emotional, more than he obviously normally is. He was there and has been spending a lot of time with me. It’s been really kind of nice for the family to come together (laughs), but also obviously, a bit of a shock for everyone.”
A few days after Saif was stabbed, the Mumbai Police arrested the accused, Shariful Islam, in Thane. Shariful is a Bangladeshi resident and he confessed to attacking Saif in his Bandra home. Last week, Saif and Kareena’s nanny confirmed the accused’s identity to the police. The fingerprints of the accused have also matched with the ones found at the actor’s house.
