For the past few days, Anupamaa star Rupali Ganguly has been grabbing a lot of headlines. Her stepdaughter, Esha Verma, levied various allegations against her. After that, Rupali slapped her with a Rs 50 crore defamation case. In her posts, Ashwin Verma’s daughter from his previous marriage called the actress a ‘psychotic and abusive woman’. Verma made many such shocking claims that shook the television industry.

Now, lawyer, Sana Raees Khan, has shared an important update on the defamation case. Sana stated that Esha Verma has not responded to their Rs 50 crore defamation notice. However, Verma has deleted all her derogatory posts targeting the TV actress. She also deleted one account after their notice. According to Sana, this is Esha’s “acknowledgement of her wrongdoing.”

Further in this entertainment news, Sana revealed that Rupali decided to take legal action only after Esha Verma dragged the actress’ son Rudransh in her posts. Esha called the 11-year-old boy “illegitimate” and went on to characterise assassinating Ganguly. The Anupamaa star’s lawyer, Sana Raees Khan, further told News 18, “It was imperative, in view of the fact that she was constantly posting defamatory and baseless posts, thereby attacking Rupali’s reputation and character. She crossed all limits by attacking an 11-year-old child and terming him illegitimate.”

Sana added that Esha Verma’s allegations cause tremendous emotional distress and mental anguish to Rupali Ganguly. The baseless claims not only affected her personally but also tarnished her reputation and have deeply hurt her. Meanwhile, Rupali’s husband and Esha’s father, Ashwin Verma, have not shared any reaction to these accusations yet. We can only wait till any party decides to publicly say something on the matter.

On the work front, the makers of confirmed the news of a crew member’s death on the show’s set. Furthermore, the show has been grabbing a lot of news in the past due to multiple actors quitting it.
