Television actor Abhinav Shukla has allegedly received a death threat from a social media user who claims to be a part of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. The death threat reportedly comes from his wife Rubina’s spat with rapper Asim Riaz on the show Battleground. After the episode went on air, Shukla was allegedly targeted on social media with the threat referring to the shooting incident at Salman Khan’s house.
Shukla shared a series of screenshots and videos on his X handle which showcases an Instagram user named Ankush Gupta who has sent a message to the actor. “I’m from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. I know your address. Should I come over? Just like Salman Khan was shot at, I’ll come to your house and shoot you with an AK-47,” read the message.
It further said, “Consider this your final warning. Say anything about Asim, and your name goes on the list. Lawrence Bishnoi stands with Asim.”
Shukla also posted a screen recording of the sender’s Instagram profile and the sender seems to be from Chandigarh. In his X post, the actor tagged Punjab and Chandigarh Police and said, “DEATH THREATS to my family! @DGPPunjabPolice @PunjabPoliceInd @DgpChdPolice @ChdPol. Person seems to be from Chandigarh/Mohali. Please act firmly & promptly. To anyone who recognises the person plz report @DGPPunjabPolice.”
Well, the incident comes just a week after Salman Khan received death threat. As per reports the WhatsApp number of the Mumbai Traffic Police helpline also received a threatening message which claimed that they would kill Sikandar star after entering his house and blow up his car with a bomb.
In 2024, shots were fired at Salman’s house, Galaxy Apartments in Bandra by shooters who were from Bishnoi gang. After this threat, Salman’s security was increased. Mumbai Police reportedly filed a complaint against unknown persons in connection with death threats.
For the uninitiated, Asim Riaz and Rubina Dilaik had a heated argument on Battleground. Asim allegedly questioned Rubina’s authority on the show and insulted her. Reportedly Asim was asked to leave the show. A source told India Today, “What seemed like a normal tiff slowly became a massive fight. Asim allegedly also insulted Rubina Dilaik, who intervened to sort out their differences. As things heated up, they all rushed to their vanity, calling off the shoot.”
