It’s a very rare sight for any Telugu film buff to catch a glimpse of all Telugu film stars at one single event. Earlier, it used to be during the Nandi Awards function in united Andhra Pradesh, where audiences would see star-studded guests in full attendance. Another instance was during Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 60th birthday celebrations, where actors like Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, Junior NTR stole the show.
After a long wait of 14 years, the State government, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, announced the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards 2024. The CM felt it is a significant step in Telugu cinema to recognise and encourage the talent in 24 crafts.
Now that the State government has brought back ‘Gaddar Telangana Film Awards’, fans are looking forward to seeing all the top Telugu film stars at the event. The grand event will be held at HITEX near Madhapur on June 14.
Certainly, the awards made audiences overjoyed for a reason. While there have been many filmfare awards that take place in a calendar year. Not many from Telugu cinema would turn up, be it the SIIMA awards or the Filmfare Awards, annual awards, for example.
The Gaddar Awards will be celebrated as a State awards function, and most celebrities are expected to attend the event.
Taking a cue from the Revanth Reddy government, reportedly the Andhra Pradesh government too planning to bring back the Nandi Awards in a grand manner. However, an official announcement is still expected from the AP government.
Top stars like Icon Star Allu Arjun, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Vijay Deverakonda, SJ Suryah, Dulquer Salman, and Vennela Kishore are expected to attend, along with filmmakers Nag Ashwin and playback singers Sid Sriram, Shreya Goshal among others.
