Podcaster has revealed that he and his family have been getting death threats following the controversy and backlash over his “sex with parents” comment. His response came after he missed a scheduled appearance before Mumbai Police to join the investigation. Allahbadia took to Instagram to express his fear, and said people have been saying “they want to kill me and hurt my family”.
“My team and I are cooperating with the police and all other authorities. I will follow due process and be available to all agencies. My remark about parents was insensitive and disrespectful. It is my moral responsibility to do better and I am genuinely sorry. I’m watching death threats pour in from people saying that they want to kill me and hurt my family. People have invaded my mother’s clinic posing as patients. I’m feeling scared and I don’t know what to do. But I’m not running away. I have full faith in the police and the judicial system of India,” he said in his Instagram post.

On Friday, when teams of Mumbai and Assam police visited the Allahbadia’s Mumbai residence but found it locked and the YouTuber missing. When they tried to contact the YouTuber, his number was off. Ranveer Allahbadia has left everyone shocked with his comments during Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent show. He asked a male contestant a ‘disturbing’ question about ‘sex with parents.’ The controversial question was, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?” These comments got him a lot of hate. He was trolled and many big personalities slammed him. CM Devendra Fadnavis also bashed him for his choice of words. FIR was also filed against him and the others who were a part of the show.
Allahbadia was asked to be present at the Khar police station on Thursday for the probe into his controversial remark. But when he couldn’t appear, the police issued a second summons, and asked him to appear on Friday. Even though the podcaster requested the Khar police to record his statement at his residence, it was turned down.
According to reports, Assam police team wants to interrogate Allahbadia in a case registered in Guwahati. For the unversed, a complaint was filed by a resident in Assam for alleged promotion of obscenity through the show.
“Accordingly, teams of the Mumbai and Assam police went to Allahbadia’s flat in Versova but found it locked. Both the police teams then returned to Khar police station,” cops said.
