is receiving a lot of hate and negativity following his controversial question on Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent show. He asked a male contestant a ‘disturbing’ question about ‘sex with parents.’ The controversial question he asked was, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?” This left everyone shocked and soon people started slamming him. He was criticised by many big personalities including the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis.
FIR was filed against him and the hate kept growing. However, some people like Uorfi Javed, Kashish Kapoor and other stars felt that Ranveer had apologised and now everyone is just using this topic as a distraction from more bigger things. Recently, Ranveer was finally granted interim relief by the Supreme Court.
Amid the recent controversy, Ranveer’s old interviews and videos have been going viral on the internet. His interview with Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty is doing rounds on the internet. Ajay and Rohit Shetty were on his show for promoting Singham Again when Ranveer recommended them to watch Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent show.
Ranveer shared this clip on his social media. They are all seen discussing Golmaal 3’s scene where a stammering Shreyas Talpade shares a phone number. The film had released in 2010 and said that if he would have made the film today, he would have been heavily trolled.
However, Ranveer said that this sort of humour should be brought back. He said, “At some point I think yeh so called offensive humour lautega and then boys like us will be happy.” He added that people in America get offended but in India everyone is chill.
He further asked the stars if they have watched India’s Got Latent. He said, “Aap India’s Got Latent dekhte ho? Ek naya show hai YouTube par. My friend is Samay Raina. I highly recommend, y’all check it out. Wahan bohot offensive humour daala hai. Hyper offensive. Gaaliyaan, direct offence etc and every person in the country is watching that show, including adults. Chup chup ke. You can end up watching it alone because you can’t see it with family. But it’s created a, it’s probably the story of Youtube in 2024. One show.”
He also said that people between the age of 7 to 70 watch Samay’s show. Rohit Shetty shared that he liked the way Samay speaks.
