The highly anticipated film featuring Superstar Mahesh Babu and directed S.S. Rajamouli, one of India’s biggest and most hyped movies, had its pooja ceremony event today. The simple ceremony was held at the Aluminium Factory on the outskirts of Hyderabad, attended by Rajamouli, Mahesh Babu, and a limited number of team members and notable personalities.
While the film’s shoot has yet to begin, and no clear dates for its completion or release have been revealed, Ram Charan, who has a good understanding of Rajamouli’s working style, made an interesting prediction about the timeline.
At the Game Changer trailer launch event, where Rajamouli was a chief guest, Charan responded to a fan’s question regarding the release date of the Mahesh-Rajamouli film. Charan said, “Unless something like COVID happens again, there’s no need for tension. The film will likely release in about a year and a half.”
Rajamouli, who took five years to complete the Baahubali 1 &2 , managed to finish RRR relatively quicker, but the film’s release was delayed due to the pandemic.
For Mahesh Babu’s film, significant pre-production and rehearsals are taking place. However, given the film’s massive scale, industry insiders estimate that it could take at least another two years before the film is fully completed and ready for release.
Reports suggest that shooting for the film could begin as early as January, and for now, Mahesh’s fans are speculating that the film might release in the latter half of 2026 or in the first half of 2027.
