The Sandhya Theater stampede and Allu Arjun’s arrest took over the news headlines for the last few days. It looks like it will get much deeper and more complicated going forward. The other day, the two letters, one from Sandhya theater requesting the police bandobast for celebrities’ visit to Pushpa special show and the other one from police denying the request, went viral.
In the latest update, the Chikkadapalli police issued a show-cause notice to the management of Sandhya Theater, questioning why their license should not be revoked due to negligence leading to the recent incident. City Police Commissioner CV Anand directed the theatre management to provide an explanation within ten days.

The notice issued reads, ‘The management of the theatre has not made any additional provisions regarding security to manage the crowd. The personal security team of the actor started pushing the public which further aggravated the situation.’
While mentioning the lapses noticed in the management of Sandhya 70mm theatre, the show-cause notice highlights the lack of proper sign boards, thater capacity, large illegal flexes, poor infrastructure, management allowing movie makers to install lighting, allowing the actor Allu Arjun’s private security into the theater, no lady curtain for frisking of women, no proper ticket check, no proper parking and more.
It looks like this is going to become a bigger issue and the trend of stars visiting theatres might come to a stall starting now. It has to be seen how the theatre management responds to the notices.
