Pawan Kalyan’s fans have been eagerly waiting for a major update on OG, and the makers have finally delivered. DVV Entertainment has officially confirmed that OG will hit theatres on September 25.
Interestingly, this date was previously eyed by other films like Akhanda 2 and Sambarala Yeti Gattu, but due to production delays, those films are unlikely to be ready in time. With those contenders out of the way, OG has secured a solo run. The decision reportedly came after coordinating with other producers to avoid clashes.
From a box office perspective, the timing couldn’t be better. With a series of holidays lined up between late September and early October, OG is perfectly positioned for a record-breaking opening. Even with average word of mouth, the film could rake in big numbers.
Despite juggling political commitments, Pawan has been actively participating in shoots. He recently wrapped up Hari Hara Veera Mallu and will begin filming Ustaad Bhagat Singh soon. Meanwhile, director Sujeeth is racing to wrap up OG in time.
Once Hari Hara Veera Mallu completes its theatrical run, OG promotions will go full throttle. The gangster drama stars Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead and introduces Emraan Hashmi as the villain.
There are also strong rumors that OG might be planned as a two-part film, though nothing has been confirmed officially yet. With Thaman composing the music, expectations are sky-high.
