Powerstar Pawan Kalyan is currently not very active on the film front. Although some time back, he dedicated some time to Harihara Veeramallu, it was still not enough for the film to get wrapped up. With the film’s release postponed multiple times, the fans are still uncertain if the movie will hit the screens on May 9th. On the other hand, there is also OG, which is losing buzz steadily. In this scenario, Pawan has to activate Manalni Evadra Aapedi Mode.
Pawan Kalyan has been unstoppable so far as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh ever since he took charge. Similarly, he has to take some time out to be unstoppable and finish the pending shoot of both HHVM and OG. Already, it is clear that no new films will be planned with Pawan given his responsibilities as a public representative. The coming days will become extremely busy for him.
The buzz is that Amazon Prime is putting pressure on HHVM makers, while Netflix is adding pressure on the OG team, that the theatrical release of both films will have to happen this year at any cost. Reportedly, HHVM has to come out in theatres in the next couple of months.
If Veeramallu doesn’t release by May or June, some of the investment may be at risk. The challenge now is to bring back the buzz around the film. According to its agreement with Amazon, the film must be released in theatres sometime in 2025. But looking at the current situation, it’s hard to say if that timeline will be met.
The idea of two Pawan Kalyan films releasing within four months also seems hard to believe. But if that happens, 2025 will remain memorable for Pawan’s fans.
