There has been fresh clarity regarding the much-awaited Dragon featuring Jr NTR and director Prashanth Neel. In a recent interview with Variety India, music composer Ravi Basrur shared an update about the project’s progress.
Ravi Basrur revealed that the shooting of the film is currently happening in full swing and the team is working at a steady pace. However, he also hinted that the makers are taking their time to ensure the film meets the high expectations surrounding it. According to him, the release plans are now aimed at 2027, which comes as a surprising shock to many fans.
Earlier reports had suggested that the film might hit theatres in the fourth quarter of 2026. But the latest update indicates that the team has decided to push the timeline further to perfect the project.
Industry insiders believe that both Prashanth Neel and NTR are extremely particular about the final output. The duo reportedly does not want to compromise on any aspect of the film, including action sequences, production scale, and music.
With such a massive combination coming together, expectations are naturally sky-high. Even though the wait might be longer than expected, fans believe the extra time will help the team deliver a grand cinematic experience worthy of the hype surrounding the NTR–Neel collaboration.
