Punjabi singer is currently hoping from one city to another in India for his Dil-Luminati tour. It began with Delhi and has now reached Telangana. He also went to Jaipur for Dil-Luminati concert before touching down Hyderabad for concert that will take place today. However, Diljit Dosanjh is in the news as strict notice has been sent to him by the Telangana Government before the concert announcing several restrictions.
As per latest reports in, a Chandigarh-based Professor filed a complaint to restrict from singing songs promoting drugs, alcohol and violence in his concerts. A notice was issued by District welfare officer of the Department of Welfare of Women and Children, Disabled and Senior Citizens, Rangareddy district stating that video evidence was submitted by the complainant having clips from Diljit’s concert in Delhi in which songs promoting drugs, alcohol and violence were being sung. Thus, on November 7, a strict notice was issued to him, banning him from singing songs that promote alcohol, drugs or violence.
Further, in the notice, Diljit Dosanjh has also been asked to not call children on stage during concert. The notice says that according to World Health Organisation, adults should not be exposed to sounds with pressure level above 140 decibels and for children, it should not be more than 120 decibels. “Your concert guidelines say that children are allowed below 13 years of age. Concert guidelines also say that concerts may include loud sounds and flashing lights – both of which are harmful to children,” the notice read.
Diljit Dosanjh’s concert in Delhi and Jaipur were a massive hit. Thousands of fans showed up to attend the concerts. He managed to entertain all with his electrifying performance.
