Tollywood actor-producer Manchu Vishnu’s ambitious mythological epic, Kannappa, is scheduled for release on June 27, 2025. Vishnu is currently camping in the US, promoting the movie through fan interactions and interviews. In a latest podcast, Vishnu opened up about his close association with his Kannappa co-star, Prabhas.
Vishnu, who is collaborating with Prabhas for the second time after the latter’s dubbing stint in Denikaina Ready, said, “Since I share a close rapport with Prabhas, I often scold him on a friendly note. Bloody hell, Prabhas just doesn’t realise what a big star he is. He doesn’t bother about anything and anyone and happily lives in his own world. He’s been the same since the early days of his career and even now, after he became one of the biggest stars in Asia. It’s very different to lead a life like Prabhas. When I told him you shouldn’t ever change, he just casually said, What’s there to change? I’ve always been the same, haven’t I?”
Reflecting on the personal turmoil he has been going through in his family, Vishnu went on to make a touching statement about Prabhas. “While those who share the same blood as I do are staging my downfall. Prabhas and I don’t share the same blood, but he is only wishing the best for me. He once told me that we will remain friends for a long time if we meet once in 3 or 6 months because we both belong to a different school of life,” Vishnu added.
