Some actors’ careers and journeys are quite intriguing and shocking. They have all the qualities in them that make them stars. But one wrong decision changes their fate forever. In this article, we will be talking about one big star who had it all—success, fame, and opportunities. But one decision hit his career in such a way that there was no coming back. Along with doing some big South movies, this actor also worked with Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
The actor we are talking about is Mirza Abbas Ali. Abbas Ali started his career as a model in 1994 and made his debut in the film industry in 1996 with the Tamil film Kadhal Desam. The movie went on to be a critical and commercial hit. Eventually, he starred in several Telugu and Tamil hits like Priya O Priya, Rajahamsa, Raja, Kannezhuthi Pottum Thottu, Suyamvaram, and Padayappa. All these movies were massive hits at the box office.
Mirza Abbas Ali also had a small appearance in Hey Ram, which stars Kamal Haasan and Shah Rukh Khan. After the movie, Ali got his biggest hit with Kandukondain Kandukondain, in which he starred opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. It also starred Mammootty, Ajith Kumar, and Tabu. He then appeared in the film Minnale.
In 2002, Mirza Abbas Ali made his Bollywood debut with the film Ansh and then featured Aur Phir. However, both films failed at the box office. Ali tried to focus on his career in the Hindi film industry and rejected several South projects. Later, he went to work on some South movies, which would get shelved. Eventually, all he got to do was comeos and supporting roles in Telugu movies.
In 2011, his movies where he was signed as the lead actor were put on hold. The actor went to star in some TV shows, but nothing helped. Eventually, he quit the industry and shifted to New Zealand. Ali did some odd jobs there and returned to India in 2023. Some reports claimed that he went bankrupt and worked as a mechanic or even cleaned toilets to earn a living. So far, the actor has not signed any new projects.
