Maharashtra government on Saturday announced the much-awaited guardian ministers for 36 districts. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has been named the Guardian Minister for Gadchiroli while, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde will oversee Thane and Mumbai city. Deputy CM Ajit Pawar will serve as Guardian Minister for Beed district and Pune.
State Ministers Ashish Shelar and Mangal Prabhat Lodha will handle the Mumbai suburbs.
NCP’s Dhananjay Munde, who was under fire over the Beed sarpanch murder case, has been excluded from the list of Maharashtra guardian ministers.
