The Maharashtra Assembly elections were held recently and the results were out yesterday. Bigg Boss fame Ajaz Khan also contested from Mumbai’s Versova area for Chandrashekhar Azad’s Azad Samajh Party. This was Ajaz’s second attempt to run for the elections after he also contested during the Lok Sabha elections. However, the results have been quite poor for the actor.

As reported by several entertainment news portals, has secured less than 200 votes in the Versova constituency. Some reports say that he secured 131 votes, while others mention it is 155. But the number is shockingly low, considering his massive 5.6 million followers on Instagram. Despite having millions of followers, Khan couldn’t get a decent number of votes.

What’s even more startling is that even NOTA has more votes than Ajaz. Reportedly, in the Versova constituency, NOTA has secured 1298 votes, a lot more than what Khan has received. His spirit during the Lok Sabha elections also failed, as he didn’t succeed in making an impact even back then.

Meanwhile, Ajaz Khan has been quite a controversial figure, even inside the house. Inside the house, he would often grab headlines for his fights, especially with . In 2016, model Aishwarya Choubey filed a complaint against him for allegedly sending her an indecent photo, which she deleted. As reported by Quint, an FIR was filed against Khan on June 7 back then. However, Khan denied the same.

In 2018, the former Bigg Boss contestant was arrested by the Navi Mumbai Anti-Narcotics Cell for allegedly possessing banned ecstasy tablets. Reportedly, they found 8 tablets of 2.3g with him. In 2019, a Shiv Sena worker filed a complaint against Ajaz Khan for objectionable content on TikTok videos. He was arrested on July 18 and was charged with IPS Section 34 and Section 67 of the UT act. A cop then told IANS, “It was found that Ajaz Khan has created/uploaded these videos with objectionable content mainly promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, etc. and create hatred among public at large.”
