In an interaction with Siddharth Kannan, director Rakesh Roshan revealed that Gulshan Grover was fired from the sets. Finally, the director has revealed the reason for the same. The Krrish director said that Gulshan is a fine actor and he was the first choice for Karan Arjun. However, at that time, Grover was doing a lot of movies. His reporting time was 11 am, but he would show up at 4 pm. When it happened multiple times, that’s when the director decided to replace him.
I called him and said, ‘Gulshan, I won’t be able to work like this.’ He suggested, ‘Rakesh ji, take my closeup and let me go.’ I said, ‘No, that’s not how this works’. I told him that we will work in some other film,” he said and shared that they were already in the middle of the shoot at that time when he told Gulshan, “Let’s part ways. He left,” revealed Rakesh Roshan.
Further in this entertainment news, Rakesh Roshan and the team decided to cast another actor for the role. That’s when they found Aasif Sheikh. When Aasif was cast, he was asked to say the line, ‘What a joke!’ The delivery was organic and things fell into place eventually.
Meanwhile, Karan Arjun also stars Rakhee, Mamta Kulkarni, Kajol, and Amrish Puri. It will hit theatres on November 22, 2024.
