Four popular faces from the world of showbiz, including comedians Kapil Sharma, Sugandha Mishra, actor Rajpal Yadav, and choreographer Remo D’Souza, have received threats via email from Pakistan, said police. An FIR has been filed, and the case is being investigated by the police.

The email carrying the death threat reads, “We are monitoring your recent activities and we believe it is important that we bring to your attention a sensitive matter. This is not a publicity stunt or an attempt to harass you, we urge you to treat this message with utmost seriousness and confidentiality.” The email went sent with the name ‘BISHNU.’

An FIR has already been registered with Amboli Police against the person (who is yet to be identified) under section 351(3) of BNS. Police investigation is underway. As clarified by the cops, the threat email was sent from Pakistan.

On December 14, 2024, Rajpal Yadav was sent an email from a man who called himself Bishnu. He had reportedly threatened to kill Kapil Sharma and his team because his show was sponsored by Salman Khan. Rajpal Yadav’s wife, Radha Rajpal Yadav, was quick in filing a police complaint at the Amboli Police Station in Mumbai.

The recipients were allegedly instructed to reply within eight hours, or they would face consequences both personally and professionally.
