Manchu Vishnu’s Kannappa was supposed to hit the screens on April 25th. But, the makers confirmed the new release date as June 27th. This official announcement has relieved Prabhas’ fans, who were concerned about the actor’s appearance in the movie. Meanwhile, rumors are circulating about the film clashing with Manoj’s Bhairavam.
The new release date of Kannappa allows the team over 70 days to wrap up post-production smoothly. Feedback from a recent preview screening has prompted some fine-tuning, especially for the scenes featuring Prabhas. The filmmakers are putting extra effort into the VFX to eliminate all the negativity against the movie.
Cleverly, Vishnu is not promoting the film now. Vishnu plans to kick off publicity activities in May, ensuring a well-planned rollout. Depending on Prabhas’ availability, major pre-release events and press meets will be scheduled.
Interestingly, Bhairavam, featuring Manchu Manoj, is still in a dilemma. After all, Manoj isn’t the main lead in Bhairava, and the two films don’t seem to overlap significantly in content or release strategy.
