After Bihar’s former deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav and his wife, Rajshree, on Tuesday announced the birth of their son — their second child — leaders from different political parties extended warm wishes.
Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) leader said in social media post, “Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Tejashwi Yadav on the birth of his son”. Deputy Chief Minister and leader Samrat Choudhary also extended greetings.
RJD chief Lalu Prasad and wife Rabri Devi visited their newborn grandson at a private hospital in where Rajshree gave birth.
Chief Minister M K Stalin congratulated the family on social media and reposted photos shared by Lalu. “Heartfelt congratulations to my dear brother Tejashwi Yadav and Rajshri on the arrival of your precious little one. The joy radiating from Lalu Prasad’s face is truly heartwarming. Wishing your family a future filled with love, laughter, and happiness,” Stalin said.
Speaking to the media, Tejashwi Yadav expressed gratitude for the blessings and support from all over the country, and said the family is currently deciding on a name for the baby.
Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, expressed gratitude to political leaders for their wishes. He especially thanked West Bengal Chief Minister , and said, “She is the local guardian.”
Banerjee visited the Yadav family at the hospital and expressed her happiness, saying, “I knew beforehand… His wife has been here (in Kolkata) since the last nine months, and they (Yadav family) have constantly been in touch with me… This is a very joyful occasion for Tejashwi’s family. Lalu ji and Rabri ji are also here and are very happy. I wish peace and prosperity to the family. With elections approaching, this child brings good fortune.”
Family members also shared their joy, with Tejashwi’s sister Rohini Acharya and elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav taking to X to congratulate their brother.
“Congratulations and best wishes to my younger brother, Tejashwi, and Rajshri. Sending love and blessings to my nephew,” wrote Tej Pratap.
