Sunrisers Hyderabad secured a dominating 110-run victory over Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 68 of IPL 2025 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. This win was SRH’s sixth of the season as they ended a quite underwhelming campaign.
SRH got to a mammoth total of 278/3 at the end of their 20-over quota. Heinrich Klaasen (105* off 39) smashed the ball to every part of the ground to carve his name into history. Travis Head’s thunderous 40-ball 76-run knock was also crucial in setting up a wonderful platform for the other batters. Vaibhav Arora (1/39 in four overs) was the only bowler who possessed a sub-10 economy rate.
The run-chase could never get going. Sunil Narine looked set for a big score but got out on 31 off 16. By the time the 10-over mark arrived, SRH had already sent half of KKR’s side back to the shed. Harsh Dubey’s double strike of Rinku Singh (nine off six) and Andre Russell (zero off one) dented KKR’s hopes. Manish Pandey (37 off 23) and Harshit Rana (34 off 21) put up a stubborn fight by smacking a few around. However, Jaydev Unadkat (3/24) and Co. ensured they led SRH to a commanding win.
Key moments from KKR vs DC, Match 68 of IPL 2025:
1. Klaasen tears through KKR in to bring up commanding ton
Klaasen bludgeoned the opposition bowling attack to bring up a stellar hundred in little time. His power-packed knock comprised seven fours and nine sixes.

2. Dubey’s back-to-back strikes derail KKR’s chase
The fifth and sixth balls of the eighth over produced successive wickets of Rinku and Russell. Those couple of wickets meant half of KKR’s side was back in the shed by the eighth over, ending any hopes of a late resurgence from KKR.

3. Pandey, Harshit bring up explosive half-century stand
Pandey and Harshit fought it out in the middle to bring some respectability to the total. Their 52-run stand for the eighth wicket came off just 22 balls. It was KKR’s highest partnership in their pursuit of chasing down 279 for victory.
