Punjab Kings clinched a 10-run victory against Rajasthan Royals in Match 59 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League on Sunday, May 18. This victory marked PBKS’ eighth in 12 games this season.
Nehal Wadhera top-scored with 70 off 37 for PBKS after the Shreyas Iyer-led side opted to bat first. PBKS made a strong recovery after losing three wickets inside the powerplay. Shashank Singh (59 off 30) and Azmatullah Omarzai (21* off nine) finished the innings strongly for PBKS to post 219/5 on the board. The left-arm spinner made a massive impact on the game, conceding only 22 runs in his four-over quota. His 3/22 in four overs overpowered Dhruv Jurel’s fighting half-century (53 off 31).
