Incidentally, the drones manufactured by ideaForge, including the military version of the SWITCH, are deployed along India’s borders with Pakistan and China.
In November last year, the company had worth over Rs 100 crore from the Indian Army, including one for its newest UAV-ZOLT Tactical, valued at Rs 75 crore, and an additional Rs 30 crore order for SWITCH V2, which is already in service with the force.
Talking about the American order, the company said this will help authorities in having real-time situational awareness and responding to any security threats, suspicious activities and unauthorised invasions across the campuses more promptly and diligently.
The Lamar CISD Police Department also plans to extend these platforms in coordination with the city police department for search and rescue and surveillance missions, as and when required, the company said.
