Hrithik Roshan is all set to return to the big screens after a gap of 3 years with War 2. It is a sequel to his 2019 superhit movie War, which also stars Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor. The sequel is headed by Ayan Mukerji. The details about the sequel are completely under wraps. All we know is Kiara Advani and Jr. NTR are also a part of the spy thriller. The RRR actor is all set to play the negative role.

Now, there’s a big update on War 2. As per the reports, it will clash at the box office with another big release of 2025. The film that might reportedly clash with the Hrithik Roshan starrer is Sunny Deol’s Lahore 1947. The makers of both movies are looking for August 15th weekend as their release date. As reported by Bollywood Hungama, a source stated, “Lahore: 1947 is a film that celebrates India’s independence, and what better than August 15 to release the film? They are strongly considering this date and will make an official announcement very soon.”

Further in this entertainment news, there will be another movie that is releasing during the Independence Day week. It is Rajinikanth’s Coolie. What’s interesting is Lahore 1947 is produced by Aamir Khan and the superstar will have a cameo in Sunny Deol’s movie. Khan also has a special appearance in Thalaiva’s Tamil action thriller. So it looks like the clash is going to be quite exciting.

Coming to War 2, it is the fifth film of YRF’s SPY Universe, which also includes the Tiger and Pathaan franchises. Another addition to the universe will be ALPHA, which stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. The film is expected to hit theatres in December 2025.
