Nandamuri Balakrishna is on a rampage in the post-COVID era. With four consecutive hits, he emerged as the most successful actor among senior heroes in the recent past. After the likes of Akhanda, Veera Simha Reddy and Bhagavanth Kesari, Balakrishna returned with another blockbuster, Daaku Maharaaj.
The surge in high ticket prices during the festive season played a pivotal role in helping Daaku Maharaj surpass the collections of Akhanda. When Akhanda released post covid and in Jagan’s Government, there is no hike in ticket prices.
Daaku Maharaj was released on January 12 during the Sankranthi festive weekend and became a big hit at the box office. It has now collected over Rs. 156 crore and turned out to be the biggest hit in Balakrishna’s career, surpassing his previous biggest hit, Akhanda (Rs. 150 crore lifetime collections).
Sharing the news, the film’s production house, Sithara Entertainments, wrote, “The KING OF SANKRANTHI roars louder with every passing day. #DaakuMaharaaj storms past 𝟏𝟓𝟔+ 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬 Gross Worldwide in 8 DAYS. Celebrate the unstoppable reign of 𝑮𝑶𝑫 𝑶𝑭 𝑴𝑨𝑺𝑺𝑬𝑺 #NandamuriBalakrishna in cinemas near you. #BlockbusterHuntingDaakuMaharaaj.”
According to the reports, Daaku Maharaj recorded 89% of its business and may cross the breakeven mark across all areas in the next few days. Directed by Bobby Kolli, this action drama features Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, Bobby Deol and Urvashi Rautela in other key roles.
