In heartbreaking news, singer died at the age of 31. He was a member of the band that broke up in 2016. Since then, every singer has been working on their solo singing career. Payne was in Argetina and reportedly jumped from the balcony of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel. Payne was there with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, who left on October 14th.
The incident happened on Wednesday evening and several witnesses have confirmed that was staying at the hotel. The singer gave him his room, which was on the third floor of the hotel. So far, it is not known if the fall was accidental or intentional. As per the reports, the Argetine police also confirmed that it’s the former singer. The hotel manager informed them that they suddenly heard a loud noise at the back of their hotel. The cops arrived and found a man lying lifeless on the ground after falling over from the balcony.
As reported by entertainment news portal The Guardian, in a statement, Alberto Crescenti, head of the state emergency medical system, said, “A few minutes later [an] emergency team arrived and confirmed the death of this man, who we later learnt was from a musical group. He had injuries incompatible with life as a result of his fall. There was no way to do anything.”
The cops also informed them that they were called to the CasaSur Palermo Hotel as the neighbourhood informed them about an “aggressive man who could be under the effects of drugs and alcohol.” MTV has reacted to the unfortunate death of the 31-year-old singer. In a statement, they posted on X, “We’re deeply saddened to learn of Liam Payne’s tragic passing today. During this difficult time, our hearts remain with his family, loved ones, and fans.”
Liam Payne rose to fame with the band One Director, which was formed in 2010. The other singers in the band included Harry Styles, Nial Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson.
