Celebrity MasterChef will soon stream on SonyLIV. Usually, we see common people participate on the show and win the judges’ hearts. However, the makers have brought in a twist by bringing in popular TV stars as contestants. The cooking competition show will be judged by Farah Khan, Vikas Khanna, and Ranveer Brar. The promos have got the viewers excited to see what’s in store.
However, a food blogger has slammed the makers for choosing actors over commoners this time. As reported by Times Now, The Petite Cakerie (Sharadha) took to her Instagram page to slam the makers. In her post, she mentioned that she auditioned for MasterChef and cleared three rounds. However, she was disappointed to find out the makers turned it into ‘Celebrity MasterChef’.
The Petite Cakerie’s post reads, “I have no idea why they wasted so much time and money in auditions, going through so many rounds, and selecting us, to only throw it all out and go with a celebrity version. It was quite disappointing to find out after clearing three rounds that the show has been dropped, and something new is taking its place.” In her post, the blogger mentioned that she was not informed about the changes in the show’s concept.
Sharadha’s post further reads, “So yeah, big bummer! Such a waste of all our time and efforts, but yeah its their TV and their show. So, can’t complain, but that’s the end of the MasterChef story, I guess. If I didn’t clear the rounds, maybe it wouldn’t have mattered, but yeah, now it’s a little sad.”
Meanwhile, the actors who are a part of Celebrity MasterChef are Usha Nadkarni, Dipika Kakar, Gaurav Khanna, Tejasswi Prakash, and several others.
