The re-release trend in Bollywood has taken a good momentum, as several movies from the ’90s and early 2000s are coming back to the theatres. After the success of re-released movies at the box office, Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji starrer Hum Tum is re-releasing in the theatres. Filmfare has exclusively learnt that Hum Tum is heading towards a re-release on May 16, 2025. The movie had received quite the success during its release in 2004.
Our sources have confirmed that the next big movie to re-release would be Hum Tum. The makers chose middle of May for the comeback. It would be interesting to note how Bollywood lovers react to the update, as Hum Tum is one of the most memorable romantic comedies from the 2000s. The movie was initially released on May 28, 2004. Interestingly, Saif Ali Khan was awarded the National Award for Best Actor for the movie. He also received an award for Best Performance in a Comic Role at the Filmfare Awards for Hum Tum. During the award show, he had dedicated the accolade to his daughter Sara Ali Khan. In his speech, Saif said, “And in the philosophical words of Sara, ‘It doesn’t matter what category you get nominated for, as long as you win one.’ Sara, this is for you!” Rani Mukerji had won the Best Actress award.
