Costume designer Sheetal Sharma, who was recently associated with Chhaava, has been all praises about Alia Bhatt, who worked with him during Gangubai Kathiawadi. During an exclusive tête-à-tête with Filmfare, Sheetal opened up about working with Alia and how the two, along with Sanjay Leela Bhansali worked to bring forth the best aesthetic for the movie.
As per Sheetal, Bhansali wanted a brothel “where they all look like flowers, but they’re dried.” He added, “That was the brief, so if you’re thinking of rani pink, instead of rani pink, it’s when the rani pink colour dries and starts looking peach. Red will become maroon. So, these were the metaphors of colours that we used.”
