In a shocking incident, a former chief minister’s daughter was cheated. Aarushi Nishank, daughter of former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, has been cheated over a fake heroine offer and she was duped to the tune of a whopping Rs 4 crore.
Going into details, Aarushi was reportedly cheated with a fake film offer. She was asked to invest Rs 5 crore for a role, with the promise of earning three times the amount once the movie was made. Excited by the offer, she paid around Rs 4 crore.
According to Aarushi, the accused claimed her investment would bring a huge profit to her company, amounting to Rs 15 crore. They assured her that she could finalize the script and that the role would be given as per her preference. They also promised that if she wasn’t happy with the role, her money would be returned with 15% annual interest.
Shockingly, Aarushi neither got the role nor received her money back. After waiting for a long time without any progress, Aarushi realized she had been scammed and filed a complaint at Kotwali police station in Dehradun. The police have registered a case against Manasi Varun and Varun Pramod, both Mumbai residents, and started an investigation.
Reports suggest that the accused film producers circulated fake photos of the film team on the official page of Mini Films Pvt Ltd, removing Aarushi’s picture with fraudulent intent. When she asked for her money back, they allegedly threatened to kill her and tarnish her family’s reputation, as per her complaint.
In the wake of several cyber frauds and digital crimes, a VVIP and a former CM’s daughter getting duped is certainly alarming.
