Venkatesh and Anil Ravipudi’s festival-special movie Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations, is set to release in just four days on January 14th.
The film has benefited greatly from its unique promotional activities. The director explains that the scenario changed after COVID. “It’s not enough to just have a good story and make a great film. If people don’t come to theaters, the film won’t reach them. The audience has become very selective, and we feel that grabbing their attention through promotions is essential to get good openings.
This time, we focused a lot on social media. Even a big star like Venkatesh participating in fun activities and making reels has significantly helped with the promotion.”
Anil Ravipudi reveals the reason for auditioning Aishwarya Rajesh and discusses the capabilities of another actress, Meenakshi Chaudhary. “The character Bhagyam requires careful handling, and Aishwarya is one of the best performers. We did a small audition to see how she would manage the Godavari accent and her body language for the role. Meenakshi is also a very disciplined actress with excellent time management skills. She performed beautifully. Both of them did an amazing job.”
The director also mentions his willingness to continue collaborating with Venkatesh. “Our bond has doubled since F2 and F3. With this film, we’ve become best buddies and have grown much closer. Along with the entertainment, there’s a crime-rescue adventure element. The second half is in a different genre.”
Anil unveiled the USP of the movie. “It’s about a husband caught between his wife and ex-girlfriend. Every family can relate to the movie. Once the audience watches it, I am confident they’ll leave the theater with happiness on their faces.”
The director also affirmed the possibility of F4.
