Actress Kayadu Lohar has become the latest crush among Telugu and Tamil youth, thanks to her recent blockbuster Dragon. Following the film’s success, she’s been flooded with offers in both Kollywood and Tollywood. However, she has now landed in legal trouble due to her alleged connection with individuals involved in the TASMAC scam.
A recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid connected to the TASMAC scam revealed that several individuals allegedly paid Rs. 35 lakhs to Kayadu Lohar for attending high-profile night parties. This revelation has gone viral on social media, leaving her fans in shock. The news has also sparked discussions about the dark underbelly of the Tamil film industry and its alleged links to illegal activities.
For context, the TASMAC scam involves massive financial fraud within the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation, which manages the liquor distribution in the state. The ED unearthed evidence of illegal transactions worth over Rs. 1000 crore, including inflated tenders and bribes involving distilleries, politicians, and bureaucrats.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kayadu Lohar will next be seen in the Tamil film Idhayam Murali. Directed by Aakash Baskaran, the film stars Atharvaa and S. Thaman in lead roles.
