Pushpa 2: The Rule has taken the country by storm, especially in North India. The movie is performing exceptionally well across the globe. The film’s trailer release event in Patna, Bihar, has created a significant buzz and it paved the way for the movie gaining more and more craze.
However, actor Siddharth who commented recently that the makers of Pushpa 2 should be thinking about competing with them is back with some more provocative comments. Promoting his next release Miss You, Siddharth downplayed the significance of such large crowds at the Patna event.
Siddharth said that in India, people gather for anything—even the sound of a JCB working in construction sites. He remarked that it’s not a big deal to gather people, comparing it to the crowds at political meetings, which often assemble for reasons like free beer and biryani.
This comment has since stirred controversy, with social media users criticizing Siddharth for seeming to belittle the success of Pushpa 2. At the same time, it is evident that Siddharth is using the film Pushpa for the promotions of his movie. Last time, when his film was due for a release, he made similar comments. Even now, he tried to gain attention once again, by talking about Pushpa.
Interestingly, Miss You was initially scheduled to release a week before Pushpa 2 but was postponed due to the rains. The film is now releasing on December 13th.
