One of the most-watched TV shows – CID – has made a comeback to TV. The first season of CID started in 1998. The show starring Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, Aditya Srivastava and others ran for almost two decades. The season one came to an end in 2018. A few years later, makers revived the show and started CID 2. ACP Pradyuman, Daya, Abhijeet and others returned to our lives. A new entry also created buzz. Parth Samthaan entered the show as ACP Ayushman.
While CID 2 fans were happy with the show’s return, the death of ACP Pradyuman shocked all. who used to play the role ACP Pradyuman marked his exit from the show. Many considered it to be an end of an era. On social media, ACP Pradyuman trended for days as fans demanded his immediate return. Post his exit, Parth Samthaan entered CID 2 as new ACP. His entry did leave his fans excited. returned to TV as ACP Ayushman and received praises too. However, now there are reports suggesting that the makers are planning to bring back ACP Pradyuman due to the falling TRPs. So will Parth exit the show? As reported by portal Filmibeat, that may not happen.
Earlier, a source told the portal that Parth may leave the show. However, another source mentioned that the rumours of Parth leaving the show might be false. The source shared, “The channel has to understand that the easy availability of CID 2 online (Netflix) and competition from IPL 2025 have severely affected the viewership of the show. Just Shivaji Satam’s exit was a promotional gimmick; the rumours of Parth leaving might also be false. We have to wait for some time to know the clear picture.”
Neither the star nor the makers have commented on this as yet. The makers haven’t confirmed Shivaji Satam’s return either. His character ACP Pradyuman died in the show. So with the character return?
