CID will always be a special show for many of us. We have all loved watching the police officers fight to save people. The show has been inspiring and motivating in many ways. It has Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, Aditya Srivastava and others. The characters of ACP Pradyuman, Daya and Abhijeet have become iconic. The show aired in 1998 and went off-air in 2018. However, fans wanted it back and hence season two began. But again, the makers have left the audience heartbroken.

aka ACP Pradyuman will not be seen in the show. His character will die as Barboza has killed the ACP. Shivaji Satam also confirmed that he is currently not shooting for the show and took a break to be with his family and enjoy.

Now, Dayanand Shetty has opened up about his exit. He spoke to Telly Chakkar and said, “It was a creative decision taken by the channel and the production team. The news came as quite a shock to all of us. At the moment, he’s not filming with us, and we genuinely feel his absence on set. Since the decision was made by makers we’re not entirely sure of the reasons behind it, so it’s difficult for us to comment. But we sincerely hope he makes a return and the entire cast and crew truly miss him.”

After Shivaji Satam’s exit, is entering the show as the new ACP. He will be playing the role of ACP Ayushmaan. He spoke to Saas Bahu Aur Betiyaan and said that he has watched the show since childhood and always wished to be a part of it. This is a big story in and .

He added, “Family ke saath jab discuss kiya toh unko pehle mazak laga. Jab maine unko seriously bataya, they were very proud. It is a big responsibility to fill in such humongous shoes of ACP Pradyuman since main unko replace kar raha hu as ACP Ayushmaan. Naya kirdar hai, nayi story hai. Naye thrill aur suspense ke saath hum iss kahani ko aage badhayenge.”
