On Wednesday, January 22, the much-awaited (means a lion’s cub) trailer made its debut and has been roaring on social media!. Directed by Laxman Utekar, it stars and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The movie will tell us about the bravery of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s son, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, and his fight for the Marathas. It is one of the much-awaited movies of 2025 and will release in theatres on February 14, 2025. While Vicky’s character is known to all, we have listed the roles other actors are playing in this magnanimous historical period drama.
As mentioned above, Vicky will portray Chhatrapathi Sambhaji Maharaj on screen. The trailer shows the passion, determination, and valour of Sambhaji Maharaj for the fight against Aurangzeb, the Mughals, and those who threatened the Marathas.
Movie lovers are excited to see Akshaye’s portrayal of Aurangzeb on screen. Aurangzeb, aka Muhi al-Din Muhammad, was the 6th Mughal emperor who wanted to dominate the Marathas and reign his power over them.
Rashmika will portray Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s wife, Yesubai Bhonsale, on screen. She played a crucial role in providing strength for Sambhaji Raje and the people during the war against the Mughals.
Known for his exceptional military knowledge and prowess, Hambirrao Mohite was the Senapati of the Marathi Army during Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s time and also Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
Divya plays Soyarabai Bhosale, the second wife of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and they had a son named Rajaram. She is also the founder of the Maratha Empire and played a crucial role in the Maratha court.
We have also seen Diana Penty in the Chhaava trailer. The actress will portray Aurangzeb’s second daughter.
