February has been a dull month for the Telugu film industry. Apart from Thandel and the dubbed film Return of the Dragon, none of this month’s releases did well at the box office. Notable films like Pattudala, Laila, Brahma Anandam, Mazaka, and Shabdam failed to reach expectations.
March has begun and multiple releases are lined up in this month as well. Here is a look at them:
Naari, starring veteran actress Aamani in the lead role, is the story of a woman who fights against oppression. It also features Pragathi, Vikas Vashista, Nityasree, Karthikeya Dev, and Mounika Reddy in other lead roles. The movie will be released theatrically on March 7, International Women’s Day.
Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer historical drama Chhaava became a sensational hit at the box office. The collected more than 500 crores at the box office and is having a great run in Hindi. Given the success in Bollywood, Chhaava is being dubbed into Telugu by Geetha Arts. It will have its theatrical release on March 7.
Kingston is a fantasy horror thriller featuring GV Prakash Kumar in the lead role. This Tamil film is dubbed into Telugu and will have a simultaneous theatrical release on March 7.
Kunchacko Boban and Priyamani’s recent Malayalam hit Officer on Duty is dubbed into Telugu with the same title. Mythri Movie Makers is releasing the film in Telugu states on March 7.
Court is a social drama produced by Natural Star Nani. Featuring Priyadarshi and Harsh Roshan in lead roles, this movie will deal with the POCSO Act of our constitution. It is slated for the theatrical release on March 14.
After scoring a hit with Ka last year, Kiran Abbavaram is returning to the silver screen with Dil Ruba this year. This romantic drama is gearing up for worldwide release on March 14.
This is a patriotic political drama featuring John Abraham in the lead role. Based on true events, The Diplomat is slated for a grand release on March 14.
Nithiin and Sree Leela-starrer Robinhood is gearing up for a worldwide release on March 28. There are high expectations for this comedy entertainer directed by Venky Kudumula.
After the super success of MAD, Sithara Entertainments is coming up with its sequel, MAD Square. This highly-anticipated comedy-drama is slated for a worldwide release on March 29.
Power Star Pawan Kaltyan’s long-delayed project Hari Hara Veera Mallu also aimed for a March release. Initially, the makers announced that it would hit the screens on March 28. However, in the recently released song, there was no mention of the release date. So, there is uncertainty regarding its release. If Hari Hara Veera Mallu arrives on March 28, MAD Square will not be released on March 29.
Salman Khan-starrer Bollywood biggie Sikander is gearing up for the Eid release on March 28. Directed by AR Murugadoss, this movie features Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady.
Chiyaan Vikram’s upcoming Tamil film Veera Dheera Sooran is aiming for a grand release on March 28. It will have a simultaneous release in Telugu as well.
Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran are coming up with L2E Empuraan this month, which is a sequel to the 2019 Malayalam blockbuster Lucifer. L2E Empuraan will have a pan-India release on March 28.
