Raj Kumar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi played the lead roles in the upcoming Hindi film Bhool Chuk Maaf. The film was supposed to have a theatrical release, but the producers decided to release it directly on the OTT platform because of the existing tensions between India and Pakistan. However, the PVR Inox chain went to court against this decision. Now, the court reportedly passed a verdict.
According to the sources, the court has delivered a verdict that directed the film to hit the screens first. And then, the film will be released on the OTT platform in two weeks. The movie will hit the screens on the 23rd of this month and in the two weeks after its theatrical release, the film is expected to land on Amazon Prime Video.
Earlier, the film’s production house, Maddock Films, argued that the PVR Inox would not have a say in the film’s release. But PVR Inox argued that they invested money in marketing and the film will have to release in theatres first.
As of now, there is no official confirmation on the film’s release date. More details are awaited.
