Brahmaji makes his comeback as the leadactor with the upcoming film Baapu being produced by Raju and CH. Bhanu Prasad Reddy under the banner of Comrade Film Factory. After making a positive impression with the first look poster, the film’s teaser was unleashed. Rashmika Mandanna did the honours of revealing it.
The opening scene sets the tone for the film, as a son played by Brahmaji and his father essayed by Balagam Sudhakar Reddy engage in a tense conversation about who should sacrifice their life for the sake of the family’s well-being. A series of events follow, hinting at the family members’ attempts to end the life of the family head. However, the final sequence takes a surprising turn, injecting humor into the story, as the presumed-dead family head suddenly wakes up, much to the shock and confusion of the mourning family.
Daya skillfully intertwined moments of fun, twists, and family chaos. The story, which draws inspiration from real-life events, carries a weight of authenticity that enhances its emotional resonance. Featuring a strong ensemble cast such as Brahmaji, Amani, Sudhakar Reddy, Dhanya Balakrishna, Mani Aegurla, and Avasarala Srinivas, the performances elevate the narrative.
The cinematography is by Vasu Pendem, while the background score is by RR Dhruvan. As revealed in the teaser, the film will release in theaters on February 21st.
