Ayesha Khan shot to fame post her appearance in Bigg Boss 17, where she entered as a wild card contestant. She clearly impressed everyone with her game. However, things took a dramatic turn when she stirred a controversy right off the bat. Ayesha had exposed Munawar Faruqui and even accused him of cheating on her and other girls. The whole saga became the topic of discussion in the house, and to top it all off, Salman Khan had even slammed her for revealing personal details on national television.

Ayesha, who is currently seen in and Sargun Mehta’s Rafuu as the lead actress opposite Karan V Grover, too feels the weight of society’s expectations. In a recent interview, she revealed her experiences and the tough side of being a star.

While chatting with The Times Of India, Ayesha shared how she was once told she had to lose weight and alter her nose and teeth. She was asked to make a few cosmetic changes to meet the standard beauty ideals. The unsolicited advice did take her by surprise and left her feeling disappointed.

“It’s your body,” she said and urged everyone to give more importance to self-acceptance and abstain from giving into the pressures imposed by external expectations.

This isn’t the only time Ayesha has stood her ground. She had earlier called out trolls who had also body shamed her dance videos. Ayesha, sans any hesitation, had clapped back at rude comments and clearly mentioned that respecting people’s personal choice is indeed important.

Ayesha had shared the screenshot of the message and written, “High time we keep name on shame to these people!! They are around us, it’s just we don’t know how they think of women when no one’s watching. Wonder how women in his family are safe around him.”

For the unversed, Ayesha was also seen in a song for the Telugu film Gangs of Godavari in 2024. She also made a guest appearance in the Telugu film Manamey.
