Recently, Alisha Parveen exited Anupamaa. She played the role of Rahi/Aadhya in the show. She was replaced overnight leading to a controversy. Alisha Parveen had made a post on social media expressing shock over the sudden decision made by the producers. Now, in an interview, she spoke about Rupali Ganguly’s ‘strange’ response over her exit post.
In an interview with entertainment news portal FilmiBeat, Alisha Parveen stated that after she wrote a post about her ouster from , she received a strange text from . ”Maine jab ye story post ki toh unhone (Rupali Ganguly) is story par ‘dot dot dot’ reply kiya. I don’t know why. Phir maine unhe reply kiya and I said ‘I will miss you mam.’ But uss message ka aaj tak koi reply nahi aaya hai. (When I posted the story, Rupali Ganguly replied ‘dot dot dot’. I don’t know why. Then I replied to her and I said ‘I will miss you mam.’ But I am not received a reply of that message),” Alisha Parveen was quoted saying. She also shared a post on Instagram and wrote that she did not quit the show byt was replaced. It was hard for her to know that she was replaced overnight without knowing why. She called it a ‘heartbreak’.
Earlier, Alisha Parveen spoke about whether it was Rupali Ganguly who is responsible for her ouster from Anupamaa. She said that she said ‘Maybe yes, maybe no’ and that she does not know what exactly happened. Reportedly, the decision as made by the makers to replace Alisha Parveen due to ‘performance issues’.
Alisha Parveen was replaced Adrija Roy. In the latest episode, Adrija Roy got introduced as new Rahi in Anupamaa, however, fans demanded that the makers bring back Alisha.
