Randeep Rai recently entered Rupali Ganguly‘s show Anupamaa. He plays the role of Aryan. He entered the show as Mohit and soon his real identity got revealed. Aryan is Parag Kothari and Khyati Kothari’s son. He has returned to seek revenge on his mother who left him in childhood. Now, he has a lot of angst against Khyati. It has been a month since Randeep Rai has been a part of the show and he has managed to create his own fan base. In a recent interview, the actor spoke about his character and also Anupamaa’s comparison with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
In an interview with portal India Forums, was quizzed about storyline being compared to that of To this, the actor stated that he does not get involved into all of it and focuses only on fulfilling his responsibility as an actor. Randeep Rai was quoted saying, “Yaar, I honestly have no thoughts about it. As I said, I have come here to fulfil a responsibility, to play a role, a character. I am doing that. What comparisons are happening, with whom, why they are happening — I don’t get into all that. And I would never want to get into it.”
Talking about his character, Randeep Rai mentioned that even after a month, he is still trying to understand what a child must have gone through when his mother left at an young age. He added that it is difficult to play such a character.
The current storyline of Anupamaa is about the Kotharis trying to make Aryan comfortable at home. He has still not forgiven Khyati for abandoning him in childhood. He is making plans to make Khyati’s life as miserable as possible. Meanwhile, Aryan is growing close to Mahi. But Mahi has feelings for Prem. Yes, it’s complicated!
